The Club now has a dedicated Functions Manager, Martin Halliday, who looks after all enquiries regarding the booking and management of events at our venue.

Martin has been in the hospitality industry for over  30 years and has a vast range of knowledge and experience in Event Management and Function Co-ordination.

KBC Venue

The club hires out its venue to the general public in support of a range of community activities and for private functions.  We have an unimpeded view of the beach looking out towards Kapiti Island with spectacular sunset views.   As well as the main downstairs room, we have a mezzanine second storey with a deck that runs the length of the room which.

 What can the venue be used for?

The venue is regularly used for local meetings, clubs, interest groups, private celebrations, community and working groups along with a number of other activities.

Layout
The clubrooms consist of
  • downstairs – the main hall, kitchen facilities and separate bar
  • upstairs – mezzanine area with attached balcony and bi-fold doors spanning the whole length of the room.
    The clubrooms can hold 120-150 people depending on the style of event
 Kitchen
We have commercial kitchen facilities onsite.   We also have available an onsite caterer , or if you would rather, you can organise to supply your own food requirements.  Please note that if you opt to do your own food:
  1. We will need a general overview of the food being supplied for the special licence application.
  2. There will be a small extra charge for kitchen use to cover utilities and cleaning.
 Facilities
We have couches, chairs, tables, bar leaners etc onsite which are available for use by the hirers.
Music wise, there is a stereo with speakers – you would need to plug in aux cord to connect it with your own music.
Parking
There is plenty of parking outside the clubrooms
Alcohol
If you want to use the club bar, we need to work with you to complete and submit a Special Licence application to Kapiti Coast District Council.  This license requires 25 working days notice for us to get, so please contact us in good time so we can get the special license for your event.
Capacity
  • 120-150 people depending on the style of event
